Hello,

Advanced apologies if this inquiry has been handled before. I am using Crystal 2008 and have a report that is designed to output a Top 20 list of personnel based on a custom sort and suppression based on record count. I have been tasked to create something that will count the amount of times a particular person has appeared on this "Top 20" report.

I was thinking there might be a way to do this using the original top 20 report as a subreport, in conjunction with a running total in a main report. Is something like this at all possible in Crystal? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming you haven't created a table that captures these report instances, this might be handled best by exporting different instances of your report to Excel and creating a table that has two columns: employee and date. Then you could use the Excel file as the datasource for a Crystal report where you could insert a crosstab that uses the employee as row and count of employee as the summary field. You could update the Excel spreadsheet over time.
