Top 10 List - Search Engine Registratioin

I have a website and would like to get it on the
top 10 list of say google, yahoo etc.

Is there a search engine registration tool/place
where I can get this done or some site I can go
to do this?

Any help would be appreciated.

it all depends on how well prepared your site is and how competitive the phrases are that you want to be first page for.
ie, my username here and at other SEO forums;

http://www.google.com/search?q=chrishirst&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&c2coff=1&safe=off&filter=0

{and the AOL related entries are not mine BTW.)
However it's not really a lot of use because it's highly unlikely anyone would be searching for that, but I get about 3 pages to myself.

But there is no magic site that will get you good results at all the SEs, That will only be achieved by some research and more work. Submitting to SEs will have no real effect, most of the crawler based engines will find your site once you have some links to it. Search the forum, there are a lot of threads in this forum giving lots of advice and other forums to visit.

Easy peasy. Build one of the ten best sites in your field, and you have a good chance of finding your way into the top ten search results.

Anybody who offers you a "registration tool/place" to get your site autmotically into the top ten is selling snake oil.
