Example: when you go to windowsupdate site and download some patches, it pops up a licence agreement tool window.

Is it possible to recreate a personal tool window? If so, HOW?? =)

What I am looking for is something to pop up and show the status of a job that is sent to the server. This windows will dissapear once the job finishes and reload the page it was called from...

I hope I was NOT clear enough... NOT ;P

well, you could create a page with some animated graphics that the user gets forwarded to while the server is processing the job. Then, when its done, you just response.redirect back to the original page (passing whatever variables you need to pass to get it looking the way you want it to.)
