It is VERY simple and from some testing seems to be VERY effective - and because I have written it I know how it works. I don't think it has much chance of throwing away any genuine emails - if this makes sense!

It sounds fine. Personally I would have a separate 'spam words' file which is used to create the spam filters, so as new spam words need to be added, data, and not code would need to be changed...

Certainly - I only incorporated to make it easier to post - spam is particularly annoying and this very simple script seems to be able to catch almost all of it!
