Toolbar Icons greyed out

I have a user that loses his ability to use his toolbars. The icons are greyed out. When I uncheck the Universal toolbar and recheck it, it will work for a few minutes, but the icons grey out again. To be more specific, the print and close all open windows icons go grey. He is the only one with this problem and he just happens to be the CFO.

Is there something I am missing?

You don't say which version of Notes, but you may want to try renaming the desktop.dsk file and restarting Notes to rebuild it. It sounds like there may be some local corruption going on.
 
The version is 7.0.2.
I believe that the problem is associated with the fact that he is a roaming user.
If I whack his configuration and load as someone else, Notes operates properly.
 
I almost asked if the user had a roaming profile. It sounds like something (bookmark.nsf?) on the server is being replicated down to the client with a bad ACL. Check to make sure the user has manager access to the server-based replica.
