Hi,

I am trying to place an Icon or toolbar on the GoldMine user screen.

When that button is pressed, a second program (Not goldmine) will run.

Example, the button would open up notepad.exe and pass the contact name.

Is it possible to do this in GoldMine?

If so, any idea how I might proceed.

At this point, I can only accomplish what I want by placing html code on a GM+View screen and this is not acceptable for my user.

Thanks,
Hap...

Hi

You can add a link to an external application to the drop down menus but it is much easier to add an icon to the taskbar.

Simply right click on the task bar and choose Add New Item and on the drop down menu select External Application.

You can create Global Task Bars which all users will have access to or, logged in as the user, create a personal task bar for the user who requires the icon.

Hope this helps.
