This is the next step to a previous question I guess.
I am hoping that there is a tool out there that lets me do the following:
I tell the tool a server name and fileshare (eg.\\blogs\blogshare$) and it comes back with a list of groups (local and global) AND users of those groups and their permissions... all in one beautiful report (or tree or whatever).
I have a few tools that Ive been messing with such as Quest Domain detective and Hyena etc - and these take the first step of reporting groups applicable to a fileshare. And then you can go through each group and report users for each. And then go to each subfolder and look at those groups (if different) and then look at individual users that have been applied security permissions.. But you have to do this one at a time - and if there are 15 groups applied to a fileshare - this is very time consuming. I would be amazed if this issue has not been addressed and a tool created? Please tell me Im right
