How do you increase the # of files that FoxProw can have open at one time. Application is written in FPW 2.6 and executes on W2000 and WXP. Thx in advance

rjnichols,
try change line (for example)
files=100
in c:\WINNT\system32\CONFIG.NT
Tesar

Increase the number of files even higher to 220, to cover the worst case scenario.

Tried as high as FILES=300. Still get the 'Too many files' error.

Issue this command at the command prompt.
? sys(2010)

This will confim the # of files.

You should not exceed 220.
