Too many files created - taking up too much space

My Fireworks graphics are taking too much space. I use it for designing layout to pages, along with buttons and their actions. Any tips on reducing the sizes?

you mean your actual png files are to large? if that is the case there is nothing really you can do except to turn down the file resolution.
