I have 3 seperate tables which i want to link together in one report, however i have too many fields.

tblCostCodes has about 55 fields
tblDevApp has about 10 fields
tblSales has about 10 fields

I don't actually need all fields to be visible within the report however i do need them for calculation purposes.

is there anyway of producing a calculation within the table or query to ensure a can produce a report showing less fields?

Also is there a maximum to the amount of fields you are allowed within a report?

You can create a calculated value in your query. The basic mathematical functions are available to you (provided you're using numeric fields). You can add ([Field1] + [Field2]), subtract (([Field1] - [Field2]), multiply ([Field1] * [Field2]), and divide ([Field1] / [Field2]). Plus, there are many other more complex functions available to you. It just depends on what you need to calculate.

I'm not sure why you are worried about the number of fields since a query/table/sql statement can have 255 fields. There is limit to the number of controls on a report. You can usually get around this by using subreports.
