Too many EU24 error, but none on system!

Interesting one here!

I have an IP500 with 3 Dig Sta 8 modules in it.... at rel 8.0(44)

It's running 20 phones, of which 16 are 5420's - the others are 5410's

There are no EU24 modules attached, but I have the error message that says I have more than 8 !

Occasionally, the bottom line of the display on a couple of the phones disappears - sometimes when the phone is ringing, and sometimes halfway thru a call....

Anyone seen this? Any thoughts?????

I have the same thing on a much larger system. No EU24 modules actually on system, but I've had error since upgrading from 412 running R5 to IP500V2 running R7. I know the firmware on phones is not current because the system was installed during a bad time when upgrading firmware on 5400 series phone would tank it. So they're running whatever version came on them - better than getting the call that 200 phones are now paper weights. Between those choices, I'll live with the error message.

When I upgraded to Release 8, all the phones upgraded too, so I pretty confident they're all at 6....

Sadly the users are non technical, so I'm going to site to see for myself!

My customer has the same; too many DSS units in use error, with only 1 EU24 on the system. Doesn't anyone have an idea? IP500 R6.0(18)

It's a bug, just ignore the error unless it actually causes an issue (treat it like SSA errors)
