I've done a crosstab query to present the averages of numeric responses to a survey. Though the decimal places property for the field being used for averaging is set to 2 in the table, the query results show up with many additional places in the crosstab. The field property was originally set to auto -- I changed it after viewing the results in the crosstab.

Do I need to recreate either the crosstab or the select query upon which it is based or is there some other way to adjust these results so they consistently show 2 decimal places?

I have had the same problem, ie query calculations returning too many decimal places. What worked for me was to us Format([MyField]]"0.0000")or Format (Calcalcuation)"0.0". Placing as many zeros as you need after the decimal point. Hope that works for you
