Im trying to enter a brief description of the companies in my db so I can give the user a brief overview of what each company is selling. I plan on having this info pop up in a text box or something as the user scrolls thru the list on my form.

Problem: too many characters in the field.

Any suggestions on how to get around this? Im kinda stumped.

Thanks,

Mark

This sounds like a simple problem of not having a wide enough Text field in the table where you're storing this field. You can set the Text field's width up to 255 characters.

If that's not enough, change the field data type to Memo. That allows...well...it depends on the version, but it's more than you'll ever need for a description.
