too few rows returned

I am beginner to cognos.Need help on this

My catalog contains 10 cols.It has about 15 thosuand rows.
When i create a report with all the data items, it displays all the 15000 rows.However, it displays only one page of rows when i create a new report with just two or three cols.
sometimes it displays only the table with col names but with no data at all.

Help appreciated

Are you connecting to a AS/400 via ClientAccess software ?? I have experienced the same problems when I connected Impromptu to a AS/400 box via ClientAccess. The solution was to set the Sorting parameter in the ODBC settings from HEX to Language specific with US English as the language.

i am connecting to Access Database.Also, i forgot to mention one more thing.Even though i dont see any data in those cols, if i click on anywhere in the columns , i see highligted blocks as though data is hiding behind those columns.Also you can actually scrooll through until the end of the report.This extends beyond couple of pages.

Also, if i do a filter on the columns , it successfully displays the filtered report.


Any thoughts on this.
