A user has reported that when trying to print .pdf files using acrobat reader he gets an error "too few operands".

Anyone know what this means & how to get around it?

Does this happen all the time???
Did you try re-installing Acrobat.
first remove it in control panel answering "NO" or "No To All" to any "This file may be used by another..."
then re-boot
then re-install acrobat.

Does this happen all the time - No, only on certain documents. The documents in question were received from another company by email. On closer inspection the actual .pdf files appear to be corrupt. I now believe the problem lies with the .pdf files, not acrobat. The error message is just a bit ambiguous to say the least.

Did you try re-installing Acrobat - No, the same error occurred on several different machines, so probably not an installation issue.

I have had this problem as well. In my case I uploaded a .pdf file in ascii format which corrupted the file on my webserver.

So I reloaded the file this time in binary format and all was fine.

I discovered the cause of the error message "too few operands". When uploading a file to the server, some machines require that you specify whether the format is ASCII or binary. I had the wrong one chosen. I changed the format choice and uploaded the file again, and had no problems opening it.
