Hi all,

I found that there are 300,000 .log files under the VM\logs folder all started with SMTP on one of our VM Pro 7.0 servers. Is there a reason and can I delete them safely? Thanks

These are probably logs for when an email was sent from Voicemail Pro.
Check your latest date on your smtp files.
Create a condition in which VMPro sends an email and check if a new entry is written in the log.

If that is the case then it should be safe to delete after a week in quarantine.
Just copy the contents out to somewhere else and keep it for a week in case you need it back.

Yeah I realize the logging was turned on for smtp for a long time... In that case they are good to delete right? Thanks

I would say safe to eventually delete if you do not have any plans for the potential data inside.

Advise quarantine data in the folder to a new holding folder for a week. It's easier than rolling back a server.

goto vmpro\administration\preferences\general\smtp and turn logging off
you will have to restart the vmpro service to stop logging
