Tone before paging on Merlin Legend

Is there a way to program a tone before a PA announcement using 799?

Not that I know of.

That question has been asked many times, with the same answer.

Although, if you are only dealing with 10 phones or less, then yes, you can. For some reason, the programmed page groups do sound a tone prior to you making the announcement. And on the 799, you COULD punch a touch-tone key, and that would make a tone throughout the speakers, albeit, a very annoying one.

You CANNOT make a tone on group page( 799 ) on Legend, or magix ( not sure about R4 ), the keypad is disabeld on MLX, TDL, and ATL phones on Group page. However if your paging from a T/R phone/device, You can make a tone before paging, keypad is not disabled.

I just picked up am MLX set on my Legend R7, dialed 799, and then 9 again, and it did indeed sound the tone that "9" makes when you punch it, throughout all of the phones.

Or, you could just do what our receptionist does (shes a hoot), and go "beeeeeep" before announcing
