CAn no longer dial intl calls after slimming down from 4 pipes to 1 and the carrier putting us on another pipe. I am sending this:
DCH 18 UIPE_OMSG CC_SETUP_REQ REF 000008E4 CH 18 22 TOD 14:44:03 CK 11DE662D
PROGRESS: ORIGINATING END IS NOT ISDN
CALLING #:2485675284 NUM PLAN: E164 TON: INTL
CALLED #:33160306053 NUM PLAN: E164 TON: INTL
And the carrier says I cannot send my calling # (me) as intl. I have read and searched and found some interesting threads with scripts that can be run. Etc. but nothing that simply explains the change I need to make to get my Nortel idea of a ARS table/route pattern to send calling number as natl versus intl. Can anyone help please?
This:
CALLING #:2485675284 NUM PLAN: E164 TON: INTL
Needs to be this:
CALLING #:2485675284 NUM PLAN: E164 TON: NATL
Thanks in advance!
David.

You will probably have to send the international calls to an RLI with a DMI table that changes just the Call Type to National or possibly unknown. That's my best guess.

Like KCFLHRC says probably set the DMI to Call Type UKWN and you would need to add in the International prefix 011

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. AT&T/Lucent/Avaya guy struggling in navigating around in this. Kind of like having to look for an RLB to see an RLI Nortel kinda thing (grin). Can you tell me how to get to printing the current DMI's and then change a DMI please?

For International Calls we always program 011 as an SPN, then send it to an RLI to handle the call. If you need to change the call type you will probably have to build a new RLI just for 011, then send it to a DMI and change the call type to ukwn. DMI's and RLI's are created in LD 86. Then point 011 to that RLI. So

Thank you. SPN 011 RLI 1 route 18 already in place after looking in ld 90, then ld 86 then LTM in ld 21 (saying all this as my own exercise and your possible corrections in my patterns.... DMI is 0. I was just fighting with myself trying to understand how to change calling number TON from INTL to NATL.
Much appreciated. Looks like I will be changing DMI 0 CTYP from INTL to UKWN...?

DMI 0 is nothing, no DMI. Functioning DMI's start at 1. Do not use the same RLI as there may be other things using that RLI that you will screw up.

Thanks again guys for the assistance. So after I learned some more Nortel navigation (to add a DMI you can't type DMI... you have to type DGT) (grin) I added a new DMI and then a new RLI (don't get me started on RLB to see RLI's) (another grin inserted here) as RLI 1 was used for other call types. It sends out the call the way the carrier wanted. Thank you so much.
