I am trying to install tomcat as a standalone container under windows me.
But when running startup.bat there is the message "out of enviroment space" comming up.I did set the JAVA-HOME and TOMCAT_HOME under the enviroment tag in the system configuration utilities and I can't see what's going wrong.
Apparently the startup.bat is called and the server starts (at least an other dos window opens for a second) but when typing the message "can't display page" appears.
Can anybody help?

Out of space ....

Try this:

1. Click on properties of your msdos prompt window.
2. Select memory tab.
3. Select 2816 Kb of memory in the "Initial Environment"
combo box.
4. Apply the change.
5. exit the msdos prompt.
6. Start another msdos prompt and run the script file to launch the tomcat startup file inside that prompt.

Hope this works.

Cheers
