tomcat as a service? 1

Hi,

Is it possible to run tomcat as a service on a win 2k server?
When somebody else logs on to the server tomcat does not always start and they forgot to launch the bat file. We have tried putting it in their startup folders and again for some reason does not always start.

I was hoping that it was possible to create your own service for tomcat that runs regardless of who has logged in.

Tomcat 5 comes with an installer which give you options run Tomcat as window service.

To manually install tomcat as window service:
