Tomcat 4.1.27 startup problem

hi

i have installed jakarta-tomcat 4.1.27.exe on win2000(sp4), and checcke nt/xp/2k option. It installed fine with out any errors. but when goto prgoram files to start, it doesnt start. even when i go to start controlpanel services and start it mannually i get this error

could not start Apache Tomcat 4.1 service on local computer
The service did not return and error. This could be an internal windows error or an internal service error.If the problem presists, contact your system administrator.

Can anyone please help with this

Hi,

Did you check in the srevices ? It might be have registered as a service.

Cross check it once, if not go to the tomcat logs, it might have printed the error in it.
