TOM BeginEditCollection UNDO

Can anyone point me in the right direction here.
Using the Text Object Model I try to use BeginEditCollection method of TOM and get an error. My goal is to use the multiple Undo Redo feature. The Error I recieve "Object does not support this method". This confuses me because it is a choice in the drop down methods list.
