Are toll free numbers programmed into a default table? I have two systems networked together only one of which is connected to the PSTN. I am unable to Dial toll free numbers from the remote system. I my current systems I have the default local and default toll adding the Trunk access code on the far end which are different for the long distance and local calls

any help would be great

Thanks!

Toll Free numbers are going out on pool 70 by default. You need to chabge the table to look across the netword to the other switch. Do a print of the ARS to find the correct table for your release.

how can I change this from the default table? As this trunk is going out lines that I have locally but all other traffice is going over the tie trunk. I have tried to make a custom table for 800 866 877 888 and pointed it over the network to the local trunk group on the definity but I got a busy signal ANy thoughts

Thanks

Hey Will!
The ARS function reads top to bottom, that is, it reads table 12 before 13, etc. If you want to reroute something out of the default tables, put it in a lower numbered table say table 5. When this digit pattern is entered, then the first table it sees possible action is table 5, and that action is performed. TipHelp@charter.net

thanks for your response. I put these enteies ionto table 1 and I am still nho able to dial toll free

Is it just toll-free calls you are having a problem with, or is it with all toll calls or all toll and local calls?
