Toggle to print menu is slow - MAC - AI 10

When trying to print a document from AI 10, the time it take for the print dialog box to arrive is VERY slow. Happend on multiple computers, with different configurations. Adobe Forum has same issues posted, with no responses or solutions. Hoping this group can help.

STATS: Macintosh G4 (1gb RAM dedicated to AI) / one application open / ATM deluxe / OS 9.2.2 / AI 10.0.3

Can't help much, other than to say that most AI10 operations seem to be sluggish on OS9. It seems to run much better under OSX, so perhaps that might be the way to go. I don't use OSX on a daily basis yet so I can't say for sure if it will solve your problem -- damn Q*@rk hasn't caught up yet, so everything else has to suffer!

I can't believe of all applications, Apple didnt bother to make sure Quark and PS were available at launch, I couldnt think of a better way to ruin the launch of the worlds best OS.
