TOAD hangs when trying an import

Using OraClient 10g and TOAD 9.6.1.

Right click any Table in TOAD Tables tab, select "Import from Text, Excel or Access", TOAD hangs. Other selections work fine (such as "Alter Table"). App process has to be ended through Task Manager.

A fix would be appreciated.

Re-install TOAD.

I had similar problem and that was only solution.

This is a followup to the above question.

Our Work Station Support put in a Service Request to Quest Software about the problem. Quest Software responded by sending a new "User Files" folder to replace the existing folder on the local hard drive at: C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle.

At this point we do not know what specific files were corrupted or why replacing the folder worked. But, so far replacing the folder seems to have proved to be a successful workaround.
