Hello.

Is there a way in TOAD Data Point to create icons that represent query and automation files? Currently I have to use File/Open to run the file and it would be easier to just click an icon. With this method a user would not have to remember the directory location and file name of a query to run.

Thanks!

I assume you create these 'query and automation files' in TOAD, but that does not mean you have to run them from TOAD. Since you are a programmer, you may easily create a program (in Access, VBA, VB6, whatever) where you can run them with a lot more information.

You may even have a table with a few columns so that your program may display a lot more information about what you are about to run. Plus, other people (who may not have TOAD available) may also be able to run these 'query and automation files'...

[pc2] Just a suggestion.
