I have a few users (not all) that are saying when an inbound call comes in and rings their phone, the soft key displays 'To VM' (to ignore the call), when they press it the call will disconnect the call instead. These users have VM and are not forwarding anywhere else. Has anyone ran into this issue on 8.0 (44). Any ideas?

Upgrading to 8.0 (46) tonight...to see if it makes any difference.

Thanks

How do they know the call is disconnecting and that the caller really just doesn't want to leave a message so they hang up? Did you call them and have them press to vm and see what happens? This smells like user error not system error.

Made a controlled test from an extension. Dropped me the second they press to vm. Wierd.

Thanks

What kind of voicemail?
Does voicemail work at all and if it does then does it work for the users?
What happens if you try to leave a message for those users the normal way?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

tlpeter,

VM Pro
VM is running good for everyone including those users that have issues with 'to vm' soft key
You can call the affected users directly and let the no answer timer expire and all calls will go to voicemail - no issues

I updated to 8.0 (46) last night, as soon as I hear back from them on whether this was resolved or not I will let you know...

In the source number you need to have a V<extension number> otherwise it won't work.

the VXXX source number is supposed to be there to permit "unfettered" access to VM (trusted source). Remove it and you have to enter a passcode, leave it in and you don't.

It shouldn't have anything with whether you're dumping the call to VM or not. Maybe it does, but if it does, then it's a bug IMHO. LOL if you want to press "To VM", remove the VM security on your phone :)

Classic Avaya.
