to use iif to count or add values in the same field when [late]=1 or 2

Hi,

i'm writing a report that lists units registered on time or late and are grouped on the [late] field. i've got the grouping working for the details but cant seem to get the cou t or sum to group, i have it on running sum- over group but it adds them all together. this group is the second grouping the first being [dealername] is the rtunning sum based on this group? if so how do io change it?

Well, you've got to make sure your running sum field is in the right area...it should do a running sum until the group breaks. In other words, if you've got two groups, dealer and late, if your running sum is in or below the late group header, it ought to sum until that late group breaks, then start over. If, however, you've got it in the dealer header, it will sum for the dealer till that breaks.

So, you may just have a placement problem.
