To stop 'ActiveX disabled' warning in IE?

I'm assuming this would be the appropriate forum for this.

I usually browse with all ActiveX controls disabled for added security - I simply don't need the functions for where I usually go, and I don't trust all web page designers to use these controls in the 'correct' manner.
Maybe I'm over-cautious, but that's me. :)

Is there any way to permanently stop the annoying I.E. messages telling me I have ActiveX controls disabled and the page may not dislay correctly?
