To set field Index or not? 1

I ran the Access Analyzer and received recommendation to index 2 fields in my job database. One field is a combo field with a value list which many records can have the same selection. I understand that indexing the field can speed up sorting but will it cause a problem if I select "Yes - No duplicates.

The other field is a yes/no field. I question the results that I may get by indexing the field with "Yes - No duplicates".

For both, I am stuck with whether by indexing both fields with "Yes - no duplicate"; does it mean that more than one records cannot have the same selection from a list or yes/no option?

Why not choose "Index - Allow duplicates"?
