Does anybody know of a method to quickly convert a Crystal report to Reporting services?. Perhaps there is a way to use the "Crystal Report Professional v10.0 (32-bit) - Report Definition" text file??

I have quite a few reports to convert and would like to speed the process up.

From what I have been reading, I suspect that Monday morning, I will just have to buckle down and get to work.
Just hoping someone knows a faster way.

Thanks

There's been a few questions like this over the past couple of years and afaik, there is no "tool" to do it - there are companies that will do it for you for a fee but the best way to get the results you want is to re-create the reports yourself - you then get the added bonus of being the SSRS guru in the office!!!

to be honest, SSRS is now a pretty decent product (been using it since 2000 beta version) and once you get the idea of the basics it doesn't take too long to to build some pretty neat reports

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

Please read FAQ222-2244 before you ask a question

Thanks a lot,
I suspected as much since I had turned up nothing except what looked like some form of "scam", but thought I would check.

SSRS looks a lot like the old Component 1 with major enhancements and, so far, seems simple. I just have a lot on my plate and time is tight (as usual)

Again, thanks
