to many programs starting up

Two places to look:
1. Right click on your start button, click open
Open programs, then the startup folder
those are some of the shortcuts that launch programs at startup
2. click on start, then run
type in msconfig
click on the startup tab
uncheck things you don't want to load at startup
be choosy - you might need some of these things (liike maybe antivirus software)
