TO: jlockley - a couple of weeks ago you posted a note that indicated you lost the export interface but it came back. Do you know how you got it back? Mine's been lost since I loaded paraox 7 on a new computer.

I wish I could help you. I rebooted the computer a couple of times and it came back on it's own.

One thing that comes to mind is that my email program (Eudora) seems to block action by dll's attached to other programs. I would suggest that you first reboot the program and check the task manager for running programs, close them all, then try export again. If that doesn't work, try a clean re install.

The other export trick I have learned is that isolating the DB and MB files for export of large, interactive files by copying them to a new temporary folder then copying the exported file back to your working or other folder solves quite a few problems.

I take it that this is because not only the file to be exported but all other connected sql, px, form and other connected db and mb files are copied to cache or a temporary file, which exceeds the capacity of my drives (none of which have less than 9 gb free right now, go figure.) Whatever, it works. Try that, too. You may have to reset the index for the exported file, if you have one.

I am going to add a suggestion, as it just solved another problem for me. Try uninstalling and reinstalling first Paradox, and if that doesn't work, the entire Corel suite. Somehow it seems that the occasional library or engine occasionally becomes disaffected and goes on strike. I am beginning to think that maybe one should just uninstall and reinstall the programs on all equinoxes and solstices for good measure.

I'm trying to load Paradox 7 on a Win2000 pc and get the message "abnormal program termination" in a box labeled "instrun.exe". What does this mean? Can P7 run on a W2K pc? I know XP can handle it because it gives you the opportunity to run as Win 95.

LC777,

It's possible that it's a video driver problem. Trying installing Paradox 7 from Safe Mode. If that works, then you'll need to update your video driver.

Hope this helps...
