To glister regarding CFOT 1

Hello glister, I know this isnt a CompTIA certification, so its slightly off-topic, but did not know of a way to contact you otherwise. I noticed you have your CFOT certification and wanted to ask what study material you used for it. Im sure using FOA's recommended Fiber Optic Technician's Manual would be important, but does it cover the material well enough to give a strong working knowledge, and if not, do you have any recommendations?

I work in telecommunications and soon will begin studying for my Cisco Optical Specialist, and thought this would be the perfect stepping stone to that.

Google is the best resource you can have! Really!
Do a search for "fiber optic tutorial". You'll get some incredible results. Start building your library. The FO Technician's Manual is excellent but don't stop there.
