to forbid few characters in a dialog box

Hi,
I would like to forbid few characters in the control of a dialog box. I think I must use the OnKeyDown function or OnChar function but what I have made doesn't work.
Someone can help me ?

You want to use PretranslateMessage and stop the pressing of certain keys.
