Need help to change a word document from text mode to design mode. Thank you for your help.

This may be my ignorance, but what do you mean by "text mode" and "design mode"?

Sorry for being vague...

I want to show the setting of the text for example '<italic>hi<italic>' instead of 'hi' in italic.
