Hi,
I am currently in the process of migrating to a new ip range and my hold up at the moment is my oracle database.
It sits on a NT4 server and contains a quad nic.
I have tried to add a new ip address/subnet in the tcp/ip settings. This gave a client on the new ip rage connnecting the error: tns connection closed.
Before the client on the new ip rage returns the error:unable to create logging file.
I have not tried to use one of the other port on the quad nic and resart the tns listener. Would i need to make configuration changes to the tns lister?
Has anyone migrated an oracle server in this manner and had success ?
All help would be highly appreciated.
