Ok SO I have a an issue with a random announcement 0 now on the board that wont go away and I have been advised that the board needs erasing.

So what I need to know is the best way to back this up. I am thinking, and correct me if I'm wrong.... Save announcement so they save to the flash card on the main processor, This is a duplicated SPE GV9, erase the board so that it is wiped empty and then restore the board by running the command 'restore announcement disk'

Does this make sense I really need to know the correct procedure so I dont screw it up....

Please advise if you can and let me know if this will work this way

Many Thanks.

Yes, you are correct... However, when your formated the flash card, you need to do it so you have space for the announcements... It's been a long time, so I don't remember the comands (working on newer systems for a long time now) I do remeber when you do the "save annoucement" command, it takes like 30 minutes to do the backup.
