tn3270 crashed CICS

Is anyone using CICS as the front end to their IBM mainframe computer? I was just reprimanded for using tn3270 from an AIX session to connct to the mainframe. It seems that they are using CICS to provide the login screen and AIX uses an unknown (IBM) profile. It allowed me to login and work just fine. When I logged out the sesssion cleaned itself up too. Then CICS tried to clean up my session too and there was nothing to clean up, so it brought the entire region down.

Does anyone else do things like this?
Has anyone crashed CICS on a MF using AIX's tn3270?

Not yet, but now I know about it I might just try it to annoy the MF guys ;0)

Don't know too much about this but after doing a quick search, tn3270 looks to be supported for connection to a CICS region.
