You guys sick of me and my questions yet? :)

I've been working on a problem with our MEDPRO for a while now, where, for some reason, some of our satellite locations on VOIP or G350 cabs were having trouble with one-way communication.

I finally stumbled on a thread that indicated problems with a particular firmware (3.1.3) for HW20 might be the cause, and this is the revision of the current IPMEDPRO we have in place. So I want to doublecheck the firmware version, and realized I have no idea how to do that, nor access the MEDPRO to make changes/inspect - IE, I'm drawing a blank.

This is sort of similar to my "How do you FTP to a val board" thread, I'm looking for the right road to access and make changes on the MEDPRO.

Any help, as usual, is greatly appreciated! :)

Just to give you an idea, here's a snapshot of the MEDPRO's status. Maybe I'm just inexperienced, but that seems like a lot of "No Route" and "Discard"s.

For starters, "list config all" will show all of your boards and their vintages or firmwares.

You can also see it by using Fault and Performance/Hardware Manager in ASA.

Just went looking and there's a posting in FAQ on how to upgrade. Look for 'FTP procedures'

Yowza! Record timing on the replies folks! I went from my desk to the server room and already have 3 hits.

says FW102...I'm taking it thats not 3.1.3, unless there's a weird numbering schema - if not, then thats a really old firmware anyhow, from the look of it

Moshimoshi, the current TN2302AP Firmware for HW3 AND greater is FW118, I would suggest you upgrade, as many bug s have been fixed.

Was looking at that, AVAYA doesn't even offer up 102 anymore, I'm assuming because it was rather buggy.

Not sure where the thread I looked at pulled the 3.1.3 number, maybe I misread it, however the jump from FV102 to FV118 should be good.

Hit a problem though, I found a note in the documentation saying hardware revisions before HW20 had 'special' firmware update instructions. The avaya site doesn't have the document it recommends anymore.

I'm assuming Upload to C-lan, then go from there?

Sorry, revision HW22 and before, not HW20 and before.

that is true Moshimoshi, but it was Firmware (FW) versions before 022, and that would also have been on a TN2302AP HW03 card, you have a much newer TN2302AP if you where running FW102

You have nothing to worry about, "enable filexfer" on one of your CLAN card, ftp the file to it, and just do a "change firmware download 1" and setup the firmware upgrade, it will be fine.
