TN2224B to RJ45 patch panel. 1

Hi all,

I hope you can help. I need to wire up an RJ45 Patch Panel for use with a TN2224B(24port 2Wire DCP Card), before I start I just want to make sure I had the right idea.

Do I simply jumper each of the pairs of the Amphenol cable to each pin 4 and 5 on the back of the patch panel ?

eg

Blue-White / White-Blue to pin 4&5 of port 1
Orange-White / White-Orange to pin 4&6 of port 2
and so on until
Brown-purple / Purple-Brown to pin 4&5 of port 24

Any help you can provide would be most appreciated

Sorry to jump in here, but I find this intertesting. Could whoever can answer Switchmans question, also explain to me in simple terms what an Amphenol cable is?

That is exactly what you need to do, and for organization matters i have installed a Lucent 110 distribution panel between all amphenols and RJ45 patch panels, but is the same idea.

BIS: The Amphenol it's a standart type of connector used to connect a 25 pair cable to the Definity (or any other equipment) backplane, and comes in male-female conectors. The Definity side is the female part and the multipair cable comes whit the male part.
