My customer has a G3r, version 6.3.4.
He called me with a minor alarm against the removable media in SPE-A. I have experienced this issue before, and have usually been able to resolve the alarm by swapping MO disks, MSS/NET boards, or optical drives. I have replaced all three of the above pieces of hardware with no luck...my removable media still shows out-of-service.
I know Avaya had a QPPCN a few years ago regarding the TN2211 drives, and my minimum vintage guide says the optical drive needs to be an R6 or later. Does this sound right? Any other ideas as to why I can't get the drive into service?
Thanks!
