Using Premiere v6.01. Captured a movie, exported a PAL avi, and can view it in MS Media Player.

Tried to import to TMPGEnc (v2.54.36) to convert to mpeg, but am receiving "file cannot open or unsupported".

Premiere settings for export:
Compressor: Microsoft DV (PAL)
Frame Size: 720 x 576
Pixel Aspect Ratio: D1/DV PAL (1.067)
Frame Rate: 25.00

Am I doing something wrong with Premiere, as the output file appears to be non-standard?

Hi!

Just open the captured, (unchanged!!), file and everything will work ok.

I noticed the exact same problem working in NTSC. As the first reply says, if you output your finished work to tape, then recapture it to disc, TMPEnc will accept it. I have been searching these boards for a better explanation on why Premier saved files are not recognized by TMPEng.
