Hello,

XP professional, sp3
If the user log to domain in he gets the correct profile.
If he starts the PC not connected to the domain (same user, same domain in logon gui) a "tmp" profile has been created.
I've deleted the profile, restarted the PC and the profile is created again.

Any idea ?
Thank you for your help

make sure this isnt set

Roaming profiles are cached locally to machines. This can be disabled with the following registry hack. The hack needs to be applied to all computers from which you wish to delete cached profiles. This can be done in Windows NT via a system policy and for Windows 2000 via a group policy.

Hive: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Key: SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Name: DeleteRoamingCache
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1

Thank You Lemon13,

....but I do not really understand why I should delete the cache.
To your info, it's a W2K3 domain and the user PCs are XP.
The problem arises if the PC is not logged in in to the domain only. A login to the domain is OK
