I am no expert in Illustrator. I have some of my users who use Illustrator 8 and some Illustrator 9. The problem with one of them is everytime she opens a file that is on the server, a bunch of temporary files are created which she has to delete manually. Is there a problem in here or is just normal. The others are not having such problem. I assume I should change some settings in Illustrator. Can someone give me an idea!?
Thank you

I'm finding this in Illustrator 10 and WinXP. Is this one user in question using 9 and everyone else using 8? Is there a difference in operating systems between users?

Ideally, temp files should be created locally to avoid network speed issues. Is the scratchdisk in the edit>preferences set to the network or the local drive?

Maybe the original file should be copied from the server while it is being edited so that the temp files are created in the same local directory. When the file is finished, the file could be copied back to the network.
