TLU76/1 has 32 timeslots
PRI/PRA = ISDN Primary Rate interface/Primary Rate Access
0 for syncronization
16 for common signalling
and channel 1-15 + 17-31 for carrying voice/data
Each channel is 64kbit witch means the board is a 2Mbit interface board .
Giving it a total of 30 speech channels .
(30 trunks + Sync channel + Signalling channel)
TLU79
Has four time 2B+D channels (BRI / BRA)
BRI/BRA = ISDN Basic Rate interface/Basic Rate Access
One B channel is 64kbit and the signalling channel is 16kbit.
Giving it a total of 8 speech channels .
(8 trunks + 4 signalling channels one pr. BRI)
Connections to use is on the lower half of the board

I'm not sure if you get it .
It depends if the external equipment is delivering
a 75ohms coaks interface or a RJ45 120ohm pair connection.
I don't know what you mean by a t2box but if it has a coaks
interface yes it connects to a tlu76 at the third connector.
And if it has a rj45 120ohm pair connector it connects
to the tlu76 at the fourh connector.
cisco routers delivers 120ohm pair via rj45 connector.
1) internet access through ISDN for backup purpose. I dont want to order a new ISDN line since I already have these 30 channels. My idea is to connect the cisco router to a ISDN interface of the MD 110 , then I could have internet access.
2) My other plan is to have a remote site connected to the internet and have voice over IP with the TLU76 connection to the cisco router.
Vince , I think we are mixing telecom and datacom here.
1) The ISDN of the MD110 is connected to PSTN and not a ISP . How can you access Internet through this ISDN then ? It must be through a dial-up connection then towards an ISP from a S0 equipment in the MD110. Or ?
2) This is possible , what kind of equipment do you plan to deploy at the remote site ? WEBSWITCH2000 ?
1) I see your point. However, what is a S0 equipment? I just have ELU28 and ELU29 cards plus a TLU79. I was trying to use existing equipment, but maybe I cannot accomplish dial-up over ISDN with these.
2)ideally I would like to do the same thing at the other end but I need to find out the PBX model first.
Dial-up over ISDN from the MD110 , pls use either S0 adapter / Dual Access product which actually uses uses the ELU28/3 card configured with 32 individuals instead of 16.
Or use ELU26 which gives you 4 BRA interfaces from within the MD110.
From any one of these products , just dial 0 + the ISP access number.
