hello is there a setting in exchange 2003 that we can set that will prevent emails from being sent if encryption via tls is not working? thank you

Hey Pat,

currently both organizations are set up with tls and it is working. What I have been asked is if 1 side does not encrypt or if tls fails for whatever reason will mail still be sent? We do not want it to. I guess the real question is can tls or encryption ever fail? Thanks for the help.

Require TLS means it won't go if a TLS session can't be established. Both sides should configure that option, understanding the ramifications.

Plan for performance, and capacity takes care of itself. Plan for capacity, and suffer poor performance.

Sniper - that is what I am looking for. Where is that setting located on exchange 2003. Is there also a setting that says to not accept any emails without tls encryption? - that would be the other side of that setup.
