we moved the batch cycles from a nt box to a 2000 box.
now we cannot get the security correct to be able to
log on to the 2000 server. we have given the id
log on as batch job and log on as a service. any ideas would be appreciated.
Could you be a little more specific? Are you saying that you have migrated your Domain Master from NT4 to W2k?
When you installed TWS on the W2k server, did you create the maestro user before or during the install? Is it a local admin account or a domin account?
You will also need to run the install program on your servers in "Update" mode to specify the new master.
the problem is a fta. we are converting all nt boxes to
2000 boxes. we had an id that worked fine on the nt box
when we converted to the 2000 box we cannot get it to work.
the id's work fine as far as running normal scripts.
the problem we are having is we are trying to exec
a connect direct internally to the script.
and we cannot get the security to log on to the
connect direct server.
I would suggest attempting to run an ad-hoc job. If you can do this, then your TWS permissions are still intact and it is a Windows authentication issue.
From what you said, it sounds like this may be the case.
