Titles Using Quotation Marks in WP Index

Is there a way to get the Index function in WP to ignore quotation marks in titles, so that they appear in the correct order in the index? As is, they do appear in alphabetical order, but following the titles without quotation marks. What I end up with are two Alpha lists, one after the other. I often typeset books with 300 plus entries and have to “mark” such titles inside the quotation marks, which puts them in the correct place in the index but without the quotes. I then have to manually enter them, each time the index is generated. Not a huge thing, but with editing and changes, irritating.
