PMI now has on-line application forms for the Cert test, and is is F-A-S-T!!! Look on the web site, it's easy to find, although many clicks. I applied late last week and when I called with a related question I found out IT WAS ACCEPTED within 2 DAYS!!! Using the online forms was easy, the only problem being - again- many clicks. Another tip - if you fill out the on-line part about the projects properly, you DON'T have to go through the extremely tedious way of doing your resume (there is a sample resume on the web site). I just sent in the regular one that I use to apply for positions (it is in chronological order) and they were fine with that. The woman who answered the phone told me the on-line stuff was the main thing.

Elizabeth, Didn't you have to still sign and send in the main application form? I thought about doing the online thing, but had already spent quite a bit of time in the paper chase. When are you going to take your exam?

No, I did not have to sign or send any paper at all, except to fax in a copy of my Bachelor's. I noticed I have no record of the application now, unless they send it back to me at some point. I can't think of anything I'd need it for, but you never know.

I am a PMI member and signed in using my number and password. However, if you're not a member it will generate a new Cert App number and you can assign yourself a password to work with that. I live in the South now and am not acclimated, so I plan to get the studying done this summer, since it's too hot to have any fun when I get home!
